Inspiration

This is a tribute made to mainly my mother but I feel anyone can connect with this work. The main things that I had in mind were to use use mirrors and other reflective or clear glass like surfaces to create a collage that looks like the one animal that is known for its beauty - a peacock. The national bird India that I felt related to the emotions that my mother is going through right now due to her illness. There are times when she does not feel pretty or beautiful. I tell her that as long as you feel pretty on the inside and look at yourself in the mirror with that in mind you well see a really beautiful person looking back. We only see beauty if we think and feel it inside us. With this in mind I added mirrors and other reflective medium to create this peacock tribute.
